Overview
Assistant Professor guiding master's students through thesis projects in Design for Interaction and Extended Realities. We explore how AI amplifies human creativity rather than replacing it, investigating new creative territories where human intuition meets machine capability. The focus isn't on compressing timelines but on expanding what's possible—helping students discover methodologies that preserve design fundamentals while embracing computational partnership. Each thesis becomes an exploration of this human-machine creative dialogue.

The Challenge
Design education for XR and interactive systems was stuck between two extremes: either ignoring AI's potential entirely or treating it as a magic solution. Students needed guidance to navigate this new landscape while maintaining critical design thinking and human-centered approaches.
The Solution
Created a lab environment where students experiment at the intersection of extended realities and AI collaboration. Rather than prescribing methods, we explore together—each thesis project becomes a unique investigation into how designers can orchestrate intelligent systems while preserving human agency and creative judgment.
Key Focus Areas
- •Human agency in XR environments
- •AI as creative partner, not tool
- •Ethical implications of extended realities
- •Preserving embodied experience in digital spaces
